So, I had to have some dinner and calmed down some. We both are very happy that all of our co-workers and friends who we spoke to today were very happy for us. This is going to be an exciting and scary journey for the both of us. New parents, not raising a newborn, but a child who is already 6 years old, who does not know any english and going to a country we never thought we would ever be going to.
Today after we got the news it was a lot of running around, trying to figure out what to do next? Packing is on both of our minds. We need to make sure we have all of the clothing. As I type this, it is currently 21° F in LT and it is 4:19am. Sounds like home right... oh and it is also lightly snowing, just like there expecting here tonight. Besides clothes we also need to make sure we have ALL the paperwork we are going to need; including passports.
So, as far as Airline flights it appears we are going to be leaving Here on Thursday and flying into Detroit. Plane transfer and then flying into Amsterdam.... and no I don't think we are going to be hitting any "Coffee Shops." From Amsterdam, Netherlands and then into Vilnius, LT. We arrive in Vilnius on Friday @ approx. 1pm, so if we are in luck, going to see our Daughter at the end of this week. As I told some of my co-workers today, I will be trying to post pictures, but there might be some rules about pictures in the orphanage.
