We called for the Taksi and headed to the orphanage. Tonight there was alot of traffic; the way we travel is mostly on the same road, and everyday we go around this traffic circle. Everytime we pass this I think of "National Lampoon's European Vacation"; and I lean to Peggy and say: "Look Kids, Big Ben and Parliment!" We always get a good chuckle from this.
Akvila was so happy to see Peggy. She ran to her and hugged her and kissed her. She gave me a hug and looked at me with my bald face and smiled. Peggy asked her if she liked, she shook her head yes. So she went back into the room and grabbed a stroller and baby doll to take downstairs and play. She had on a little purse; she opened it and pulled out a tangerine. We just looked at her and smiled. While she was getting situated, I opened up our bag and pulled out her clean Embroidered Jumper (Hoody sweatshirt), I showed it to her and she took it from my hands; she was excited to have it back. I also pulled out the candy that is in the shape of the egg, but the shell is a white chocolate and dark chocolate. Inside is a little container that contains a toy that you put together. The person that took us yesterday told us about this; they call them Kindred Surprise. It is a very cool idea, but the U.S.A. probably bans them because of the small parts that are inside (you know, choking hazard for small kiddies). So Akvila opens up her surprise and starts breaking half of the chocolate shell and places them into the other half as a bowl. She then offers some to me and Peggy. After she finishes her candy, her and Peggy start to put this toy together. Akvila can't read, so she starts snapping pieces together, but they are not supposed to go together yet, there are pieces that need to be attached first. This took a little while to do, but we all eventually got it done.
So we played in the balls a little bit again, but not very long. She then peaked into our bag to see what we had brought. Peg pulls out the bag of Goldfish Crackers and Scooby Fruit Snack... and Akvila grabbed for the Scooby snacks and headed into the little house.... well after she rearranged it first and had moma go in.
After she finished off her snacks, she peeked out and grabbed the goldfish and ran back inside the house. She really likes those little fishies. Tonight seemed to go really fast, but it seemed like all went well. As far as the "Beard" thing, all we could understand was the gesture for "ok." The translator well not go with us again until Tuesday. On that day we will be going to the Doctor; for a checkup and vaccinations.
So we got our normal hugs; Peggy got the kisses and I got the "blow" kisses and we left to go outside. Outside it was snowing hard! We called for our Taksi and it was going to take 15 minutes to get there. We couldn't go back inside (door is locked) so we are huddled under a little overhang trying not to get soaked. Taksi arrived and we came home for a waiting dinner; leftover night!
New picture from tonight... probably one of the better "smiley" pictures.
I also tried to take a picture of the snow.
Update from earlier post. The judges decision on the 11th is a good sign because that is 5 days for her to write our her findings and judgement. For such a long wait could also mean the proper paperwork for the "waiving" on the waiting period. The attorney told us that the decision has to be written out by the judge and is usually about eight pages long. Let's hope that the long wait now means no long wait later.
That is sooo cute about her and the bag of goodies! Could you see what she was doing in the little house?
ReplyDeleteThe pictures are great! And thank you for the clarification on the judge and the waiting period.
As to no beard....now she has to get accustomed to seeing Wayne with no beard! It may take a bit... but it sounded like it went really well... maybe next time you will get a kiss and not just a "blow" kiss :-)
Love to all~~
